Our agency offers counseling services to individuals dealing with all forms of grief. Whether you have lost a loved one, moved to a new city, lost a job, or are experiencing marital issues, we are here to help.
Grief Counseling for Children and Teens
Grieving is not only for adults. We understand that children and teenagers need time to grieve and adapt to the changes that life brings. GRCBR offers individual sessions for children ages 3 to 17.
Uninsured/Underinsured Grief Counseling Program
GRCBR has a donor-funded grant program for uninsured and underinsured clients. We do not turn away clients due to the inability to pay.
YOU CAN ACCESS SERVICES BY...
GRCBR is proud to offer multiple ways for our clients and community to access services including:

Face-to-face: counseling sessions, support groups and educational programs (visit COVID-19 page for updates/changes and protocols).

Virtual Counseling: counseling sessions, therapy groups, and family therapy

Hybrid Support Groups: combined option of in-person or Zoom support groups

Telehealth: Most services can be accessed through Zoom Healthcare, anywhere the client lives.
TELEHEALTH
Grief Recovery Center is committed to making sure our clients and community have support while following mandates regarding the CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19). Telehealth visits ARE NOW AVAILABLE (3/19/2020).
What is telehealth?
We are offering two remote options from Grief Recovery Center through Zoom Healthcare: over the telephone or online face-to-face (similar to FaceTime but HIPAA Compliant).
If any of these options interest you, please call us at (225) 924-6621. We will ask you for a cell phone number or a working email address*.
Remote appointments will be accessed through a secure HIPAA compliant link sent to your phone or email, and your counselor or staff will walk you through the setup and process.

SUPPORT GROUPS
Grief can be a very lonely and isolating experience. Being in the company of others who understand can offer comfort and hope.
Our support groups are FREE to Louisiana residents and may be attended virtually or in person. Click the button below for a list of our active groups!
